Reasons to Embrace Your Imperfection

Body confidence is the key in our lives. No matter if we big or small, we can still rock the body. The reason why I say this because I used to be the person who didn't have a confidence in myself...literally at all. I tried not to look at others because I didn't want them to look back at me. I tried to hide my face, though there was nothing wrong with it. It felt like I wasn't beautiful like everyone else. That's the reason why I decided to start The Equinox Fashion Blog actually. I kinda want to escape from the reality and say whatever want in this blogosphere. I hate my highschool life because I was popular, then I was hated. Others compared myself to the popular friend of mine, and I was just a shadow. However, it has made me realized such superficial-minded of people is ridiculous, and that's how my individual attitude has started to become stronger.

STAND UP FOR YOURSELF

Sometimes, we just need to stand up for ourselves. The more I grow up, the more I know that people are much different, and they can change even my friends who I used to hang out. I have a lot of connections but I don't have many friends because I have chosen to. I prefer to hang out with specific people because that's where my comfort zone is. Like I said, people can gossip about you and make you feel like shit. It happened to me before, but it didn't make me feel down. When I started to change and absorb the idea of getting a tattoo, etc got my friends from high school to talk about. 'omg she has changed', 'I don't like her anymore' WTF was that??? Like really???? Though, such opinions didn't make me feel like shit, it annoyed the f**** out of me. That's the reason why I have always stood up for myself for years. I know people around me are unpredictable. One day you are friends, the next day you are a stranger. Life is like this. If you've got yourself back, you can conquer anything.

EMBRACE YOUR IMPERFECTION

Everyday, we are surrounded my exaggerated commercials that make us doubt about our beauty. Especially, in Asia...People are obsessed with whitening products, and V-shape face type. Plastic surgery is very popular for Thai people, and it has become a trend for a while. I am fine with the plastic surgery because there's nothing to do with me. However, I think that the way people are materialized and obsessed about such trend makes others doubt about themselves. From now on, when you stand in front of the mirror, just talk and say good things about yourself such as 'I look beautiful today!' I am not crazy, and I would say that this technique has worked for me!

  3. What a crazy world we live in! I remember being shocked when I saw an advert for whitening products in Thailand, yet in the UK we do the opposite - try to make ourselves darker with tanning products. You're right, we all need to embrace the skin we're in. :)

  14. I couldn't agree more with you, as usual, we generally share the same thoughts on a lot of the topics you discuss. It's so important to love and accept ourselves for who we are. It's certainly a process, but it's worth the effort and growth. After all, our imperfections are what make us unique. If we all looked and acted the same, there would be no individuality. I love your outfit and the backdrop for these photos, too, it all ties together perfectly with the vibe of the post! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  18. Love the casual look you're sporting in this post. And I so can feel you in this. When I started out my blog, I've received comments such as I'm not pretty enough to bea beauty blogger or I'm too fat... I've also been judged because of my tattoos and choices in hair color... But what I've learned along the way is that you can never really be everybody's cup of tea... All you have to do is to learn how to love yourself, choose more positive people to surround you, be the change and impact you want to see in this world. :)
