Vintage

Sometimes, it is quite difficult to find the right clothes for us nowadays when most of the products in fast-fashion retailers have become a bit mainstream. I mean, whenever I go shopping at Manchester's city center, I come back home with nothing because I have no idea what to buy...It is boring when everything in the store is just look similar.

I actually feel blessed that I have brought this blazer with me to UK because I can guarantee that no one wears the same item as The Equinox Fashion. I don't know how long has it taken, but the age of this blazer is probably more than 20 years. My mom bought it when she was in Paris 20 years ago! And now she's 60 years old.

When I was a kid, I didn't like any pieces in my mom's wardrobes at all because they all looked weird to me, however, I feel really appreciate that my mother still keeps some of them with her because they are very rare now. I have worn this blazer to a few events both in Bangkok and Manchester, but I still love wearing it because of its light-weighted and versatility. Whenever I want to put this vintage blazer on, I'd rather go with simple outfit since just one blazer can make the look become outstanding. Besides, wearing too much prints can be a bit too much for me.

Maybe if one day when I have daughter, I will be able to pass on this blazer to her. However, I have never had any intentions to get married. So, I'd better keep this beauty with me for now haha.

  9. Your mom has great style, that is such a pretty piece. Now I'm more convinced than ever that I should save everything I own for my daughters. Fashion is so cyclical. You pulled if off very well. Looking great. http://fashionablyidu.blogspot.com/

  20. Your blazer is really a wonderful and very unique pieces and how forward-looking from your mother to keep it - although you didn't like in the past clothes from your mother on you. I recognised in the last time that I look more and more for vintage pieces as it happens the same to my when I want to buy new clothes ... everything looks so similar. Now I'm only a bit curious how my closet will look in 5 or 10 years :)
