Going to Work with No Motivation

Not having a full-time job is not the big deal for a person like me. A woman who has no commitment, no rent to pay, no credit card, I mean debt free. As I said in my personal letter to Nara that I  don't have to do the full-time job, still I have to go to the office 3 days per week. However, lately I have felt as if those 3 days are not my call anymore. A year of growth and office lifestyle has been a good experience, but I wonder if what I have been doing is what I have wanted...or not...For now, there are so many questions and ideas pop up in my head, which I haven't found the right answer, or new opportunity yet...Have you ever felt like going to work with no motivation? If yes, welcome to the club.

Working is fun, but not having the right position can be somehow frustrating. I am ok about learning the new task, but not like I have to responsible the new role 100% I believe that we all have different strength and weakness, so it depends on each person. Lately, I just don't know what my strength is anymore...I mean, not about blogging for The Equinox Fashion, but the office job. So far, my blog and Instagram (@thequinoxfashion) have been going well, in terms of the engagement, feedback and content. However, I just can't seem to pull it off for the brand I have worked for.

There is something I just can't figure out WHY it hasn't been the way I want it to achieve...I know, my blog and brand have different targeted audiences, so obviously everything is different. I have felt like 1 year of my performance is going nowhere (except the branding, which I think somehow I have made it a bit better.) Everyday I just wish I didn't have to go to the office with such doubtful feeling inside my heart.

LOOK IN A BRIGHTER SIDE, AND NOT SCARED TO WALK AWAY

Or maybe this is the new call, you think? I believe that when one door closed, another always opened, the nature of 'balance' Is it possible to think that there is something new & better waiting ahead? I hope so. For now, all I can do is to think in a bright side, yet if it reaches my limit, I am ok to walk away from this shitty feelings too. Not only I will have a chance to think harder about how to solve the problem I have had at work, as well as, the way to improve what I want, walking away is also the choice for those who have had enough.

If I walk away, then I have to find the new job?! What if I can't get the new one, my life will be doomed?!

Wait, that is something about the future, which no one can see. No one knows what the future is coming, unless we try. Finding the new job can be stressful, but it's the new challenging, isn't it? I think there are 2 benefits of this gap actually;

1.) I can just sit back and think about what I want to do in this life. In terms of blogging, should I just go with the full stream, or how can I make money from it, without the full-time job to support me.

2.) Ok, so I need a new job. Now it's the time to find the new home! It's a new opportunity grow, that's how I see it.

I mean, you need a time to think what is best for you. But remember that you don't need to keep yourself in the shitty loop you don't want to be. If it's not right for you, open the door and walk away.

  1. Oh girl, this is legit story of my life! I hear you, I understand so much! I've been trying to make living out of blogging for so many years now, and I mean, I tried everything. Contacting companies, doing more articles, writing for magazines... posting more, started my YouTube channel. Seems that all I get back is only emails from companies who want to take advantage of you and send you freebies, and sorry, but I can't pay my bills with free clothes. I guess it takes time? Sometimes years before you get noticed? In the meantime, we need to probably just get a little supporting (maybe even just part time) job to get by... (In my case - 3 days a week as well - not necessarily what I want to do though...) You have a fabulous blog, I am following you for the longest time and I know that you can do this as a job!! You are talented and your writing is amazing girl!! Just keep doing what you doing here! And it will pay off! Fingers crossed love! Let me know if you want to talk sometimes... Lots of love from Florida! ♥♥♥

    Have a fabulous new week!

  3. I understand you feelings it's one of the reasons I moved back to Thailand I needed to get away from the UK as opportunities were just becoming less and less for me and it was making me more and more depressed. Good luck with your future plans I'm sure you will make it whatever you choose to do xoxo

  5. Hey my dear.

Believe me, I totally know how you feel. I used to have a job that I loved but after a few years, I absolutely started dreading going in to world. I slowly started hating what I was doing, mostly due to a toxic work environment and terrible management. I did end up leaving and started focussing solely on my blog and instagram and while I still have a long way to go and that freelance life is much harder than my previous job, I get to do something that I truly love which is AWESOME. You'll get your way. Just don't give up!

  9. Oh, I really see your challenge ... I found for me personally the solution that I experience "normal life" in the context of my job, earn my money with it, have nice encounters and social contacts including manx stories. And my blog is my personal luxery :) All the best to you and as usual very cool look!

  10. I think it's so important to always keep motivated and to look at things from another point of view. Sometimes the journey is hard but it's when it's definitely worth to go for it :)

  13. Oh I've been there so many times! I just realized that office work is not for me and that there are other things out there where I can shine. Look into working remotely - there are a lot of companies out there hiring. At least until you can blog full time :)

  14. I agree dear, if it doesn’t fit...open the door and walk away. Like the saying goes, you are not a tree that cannot be moved. Also, it comes with new opportunities for growth, meeting new people and making new discoveries.

  21. First of all your outfit here is on fleek, i love your top and the color of it! Second of all, maybe the work environment you are currently at it's not meant to be. Your body, mind and soul is definitely speaking to you somehow, maybe it's time for a change... But do relax you will definitely figure out the best thing to do, we always do somehow. Have a great day!
