Japanese Cooking Class with Yoshino

The Equinox Fashion had an opportunity to join the amazing Japanese cooking class with Yoshino last week in my private room in Osaka! Actually, Yoshino is one of the renowned Japanese cooking appliance companies, so it was an honor to join their representative by testing a wide variety of equipment, as well as, cooking the lunch together. As some of you may know that I am a big fan of Japanese food! So, I just couldn't wait for the session to begin! Trust me, I can eat Japanese food everyday, though I am Thai. I don't need the heat from the spice, because all I need is the simplicity touch of the ingredients that satisfy my palette.

The lunch menu was rice (with plump and Japanese tiny fish), marinated chicken, Japanese style egg, and Yakisoba! All were my faves...It took us only an hour or less for preparation and cooking all of the dishes. Thanks to the technology of the equipment, because the RICE WAS COOKED IN ONLY 5 MINUTES! Can you believe this? You guys have to, because I witnessed with my own two eyes. The rice was cooked perfectly!

Ok, where should I start? Rice? Maybe! Like I said, it was cooked with the innovative appliance, and it didn't even degrade the quality of the food really. As the Japanese style, a few pieces of plumps were added in order to bring out the taste, and it was a perfect balance really. At first I thought "rice+plump?!? But it was very delicious. The softness of the mochi rice, combined with the tiny bit of sweet sensation of the plumps, guys I was in heaven...If you love eating rice, you absolutely need to try this recipe!

While waiting for the rice to be done, we moved on to the chicken. How to boost up the taste of the meat? You need to pour the Japanese sake in! That's the trick! However, the most important thing was the tender of the chicken, which was the result of the streamer equipment. Guys, it was very soft...In fact, the pieces were streamed only less than 10 minutes. Easy, fast, and delicious, I owed Yoshino big time!

I think their equipment is very handy indeed. You don't even need to have a proper kitchen to cook, because all we did was on the floor. Besides, you can take it anywhere. For example, if you are having a party in your friend's apartment, or just an outdoor dinner style, you can simply put everything in the car, and make it happen. As a travel blogger, I travel quite often, so I just don't have a time to go in the kitchen and cook. Therefore, this might be a good alternative for me. Especially, if one day I decide to move to Japan, my apartment will not even have to have the perfect big kitchen anymore :)

All I can say is thank Yoshino so much for this amazing meal! It was my first time to cook Japanese food, and I literally really had fun cooking and talking with everyone! <3

Japanese food may look simple, but it's not as simple as it looks. However, what we did today was very fast. It didn't consume so much time for each dish to be done actually. We could just move on to each menu (like 1 by 1) very easily. In fact, it was my first time to cook the egg with the long Japanese chopsticks ( I can use the chopsticks already, so I didn't have any problem with that technique)

The egg roll was soft, and the meat for Yakisoba was cooked swiftly. I really enjoyed everything, especially the Yakisoba. I just can't tell you how much I LOVE the sauce, because it was very yummy! Moreover, the meat was tender and fresh.
