Why It's OK to Travel Solo?

📍 Tokyo, Japan

Scared? A bit. Lonely? A bit, but 'you only live onceI was born and raised in a typical Asian family, yet my soul always rejects to live alongside the culture. Traveling solo as a woman can be dangerous, but I don't wanna wait until 60 years old to do what I want. I love spending time alone, just to think and be myself with my own thoughts. We all have different lifestyles, right? So, either going on a trip as a group or solo, it doesn't matter. Going with family or friend is fun, but traveling alone can be challenging too. I don't mind having lunch alone, going to Izakaya alone, or just walking alone. I am 28 years old, I want to challenge myself. I want to see how far can I go. Or are there any problems occur? How would I survive in each situation? Despite the good and bad, it always be OK to travel solo :)

"3 Reasons Why You Should Travel Alone" I told you already. But I kinda want to dig further than what I stated. The more I grow up, the more I feel like life is so unpredictable. We don't know when is the last day of our life, right? So, why not living to the fullest? Thanks to The Equinox Fashion, I owe you a lot. The experience I would never gain from anywhere else.

Every time I am at the airport alone, I always feel blessed to be me. To be the person who I've always wanted to be. Even though, my parents don't really understand my thoughts and opinions that much, it's my life. I think when I travel solo, I can see the world in a different perspective. I mean, stepping out from the comfort zone is the real deal man. Just me, camera, pocket wifi, and Samsung Galaxy S7, 'LET'S DO IT BITCH' That's what I always tell myself before the plane departs. And oh no, shit always happens when I go abroad (lol) Flight delayed, lost in the translation, didn't know where the Airbnb was, or even had too much to drink. I think, every experience makes me grow up one step further. Not only I've learnt to rely on myself, but also think that it's alright to wander around without no one to talk to.

I don't know why, but literally speaking, I tend to speak and talk less and less every time I come back from Japan. Honestly. I am tired to open my mouth sometimes. Maybe, I kinda get the hint of Japanese culture in me a bit? I've learnt from all the great memories and fucked up situations, which make me realize "We're all just a human-being" No matter what happens, we will be alright at the end of the day. Human's created to live, right? You know, some people say 'it's a waste of money to travel' But for me, you can't buy the experience. It's not a waste of money. It's the ticket to see the world and to learn more about 'yourself' And I think it's worth the price. No matter if I go to the same place again and again, I always learn something new.

  5. Gosh I remember my first time travelling alone. I was so scared of getting lost and not being able to enjoy things fully if I'm on my own (and low key wondered who would take my pics haha). Once I got over my fear, it turned out to be one of the best trips of my life and I got to find myself again in the process.

  9. One of the things I have wanted to do this year is to get out of the house more, as when I'm not working I barely leave my house. I would love to have the courage to go places on my own and even explore different countries, but that thought terrifies me.

  10. It is amazing what you learn about yourself and how liberating travelling alone can be. It is something I have done a lot actually, though not as much lately.

  12. I kind of travel alone when I go to Paris. My step family lives there but I go alone. I don't stay with them as they are a family of 5 in a 3 bedroom apartment, though I stay near by in the same hood at an Air b-n-b. They work of course so much of the time I am by myself which like you said can be exciting I feel like you absorb more when are alone as you are not talking and distracted.

Have you ever seen that TV commercial about the young woman traveling alone in Asia? Here it is if have not, I LOVE this commercial.
