Avalanche Manchester

On Monday, 23 March 2015, lots of bloggers and press were invited to Italian restaurant "Avalanche" located at the heart of Manchester, United Kingdom in order to celebrate the new ownership of the restaurant. Apart from Thai restaurants which I have done a review in the previous posts, here is my very first experience with Italian food in this country.  

Speaking about Italian food, I am a big fan of pasta, ravioli and risotto. There are actually a few Italian restaurant in Manchester such as Isola Bella, San Carlo Bottega etc. Avalanche is one of the restaurants situated in the great location where we can just walk a few minutes from the city center. The great atmosphere and live music at night make Avalanche become the spot for relaxation after work and even special occasion. 

I was pleased with the staff at the restaurant because the service was very good.While, we were waiting for the food, they were constantly approaching us with drinks including champagne, red and white wine. Even though the restaurant was quite packed that night, our food was served quickly. One of my most favourite dishes seemed to be the steak since it was so tender! Surf'n' Turf was good but the chicken was a bit dried. So, I pretty much enjoyed eating T-bone and lamb with its juicy sauce.

Starters

A trio of bruschetta served with fried rice balls and camembert with a tomato and onion salsa.

Mains

Surf'n'Turf. A mix of fresh meat and fish, Scallops, prawns, lemon sole, chateau, T-bone, lamb and chicken. All served with saute potatoes, Mediterranean vegetables, peppercorn sauce and lemon butter sauce. 

Dessert

A trio Tiramisu, chocolate cake and cheescake. All served with fresh fruit.
