What To do at Nippombashi Joshin- Denki (でんでんタウン) Osaka

I am not going to lie, but I was a bit nervous before booking a flight back to Japan...Well this's the very first time I actually flew to Japan myself (why alone? I'll tell you the reason behind the crazy decision in the upcoming post!) I mean, going to the country where English is not the 1st language can be a little bit difficult. If you know me well, I am just like this. You need to live life to the fullest right? This time, I spent about 9 days in Osaka. Life just couldn't be better, because I started traveling alone, but ended up having the new friends and connections than I've ever imagined. If you love anime, Gundam, cosmetics, and Japanese home appliances, here at Nippombashi Joshin-Denki (known as Den Den Town) You can buy (and discover) all of these in 1 place!

I spent a day hop on & off the bus with Osaka City Pass, which offers the tourism around Osaka by bus and cruise. If you are traveling solo just like me, you will have to check it out! Not only you can travel around the city conveniently, but also get to know Osaka better than just you and the Google map in your hand

I think traveling abroad by yourself can be tough sometimes (especially, when you are lost in the translation) You will not even know when you will get lost on the streets, or where exactly should you go during the day. In my experience, I prefer to just walk randomly with no plan (yep, I am a girl with no plan when it comes to traveling) Because the local areas are what I always aim for. I would say I trust my instinct and a little bit of online review. So, all I need is one headphone, wifi, and a camera. I don't plan in details of where I want to go, or what I want to do or eat. I can just go anywhere. Luckily, I was with Osaka City Pass, or else I wouldn't be able to know the place like this.

Anyway, the easiest way to notice Osaka Wonder Loop bus is this yellow sign at the bus stop. It is actually the spot, where you can hop on!

GUNDAM SIGN @SUPER KIDSLAND CHARACTER HOUSE

Are you a fan of Gundam? I am not, but let just say that I am FAMILIAR with it. I have two brothers, so Gundam is something I grew up with. Here at Super Kidsland Character, you can find every model of Gundam at the store. From the old-school to the latest version, this place might be the paradise for your brothers, as well as, the loved ones. Though, I am not a Gundam fanatic, I was literally surprised and fascinated by a wide variety of the selections. I can be a broke girl at the cosmetic stores. So, for those who are obsessed with the Gundam, here you can go back home with the empty wallet. Just sayin'

"SUPER DENDEN LAND" (HOME APPLIANCES, WATCHES, COSMETICS)

If you are coming to Japan, but not buying any cosmetics back home, you are crazy. Thai people always come to Japan, and back home with LOADS of Japanese cosmetics, because they are insanely cheap here. When I went to Tokyo last year, I spent about an hour buying the makeup goods (no shame again guys) Because the items here are so affordable that I just couldn't resist! So, if you need this kind of experience, you will need to visit Super DenDen Land.

Though, there are not many cosmetic brands like any other drug stores, but the innovative beauty tools for facial and body will make you surprised. From the latest facial massage equipment to the hair laser one, girls you need to check them out.

Not only the beauty tools, but you can also buy Japanese branded home appliances here. I think my mom would love to spend more than an hour here haha. Every time she goes shopping, the kitchenware always be the section she hangs around.

SUPER KIDLAND (HOBBY ITEMS)

Super Kidland is all about the hobby items. Especially for those who love collecting Japanese character toys, or even the car & train models, this place is the right stop to satisfy your wallet. Do you love Sanrio characters? Tonari Totoro? My Melody? If the answer is yes, you really need to visit this place. Something that reminds you of the childhood...Such a nostalgic place for me as well :)

  18. Japan is such an amazing place with so much to offer. You would need months to explore all the country has to offer in detail, which is so crazy given its size.

I hope you brought home that Pikachu alarm clock!

I go to Japan every year - but I have never been alone.
I speak a bit of Japanese so I think I would be ok.
I have been to London by myself.
You have done everything I would do - in fact I am way overdue for a cosmetics run in Toyko!
