As an official make-up sponsor of Fashion Scout London, I received the package of The Body Shop "vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil" and "vitamin E aqua boost sorbet" when I attended London Fashion Week AW15 a week ago. The Body Shop is one of the most famous UK based brands which people are willing to invest in, however, some may not feel the same since we are all having different types of skins. So, let's find out if these products really work for me.
Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil
I love serum, I love everything in oil texture because my face is really dried due to the harsh weather in UK. I am from the hot country, so my skin is not really matching with the cold at all. This serum is a replenishing and recharge moisture product which I quite like. It absorbs pretty quick and doesn't leave the greasiness like Kiehl's elixir. I had been using the elixir, the one that everyone's talking about. It is good for the first 4-6 weeks, however, I can't feel any differences after that. Maybe it just doesn't perfect for dry skin when all we really need is MOISTURIZER.
Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet
This product absorbs so quick that I can't really feel anything on my face. I love the 'aqua' product because it is really light-weighted and good for those who have oily or mixed skin types. However, it leaves such tiny flakes on my face and I am not a fan of that. I don't know if I apply it too much but normally the texture of the products shouldn't turn into flaky like that. It might be good for Summer since my skin is still obviously dry when I look at the mirror every morning.
Both of the products have such a sweet scent, but for facial products I prefer the items without perfume in any chances since my skin is very sensitive and sometimes it easily reacts to the scents added in the items.
I haven;'t used Body Shop products in ages, I really liked their Matte Primer. It's a shame you haven't had some good experiences, but a lot of moisturiser and exfoliation will help with this English weather!

The color is so unbelievably pretty hah. But I know what you mean when you're talking about preferring products that dont have a scent.

Great review Gail! I have to say I've never used their face products before just their moisturizer so this gives me a great understanding of their other products! I have to say the sorbet sounds great but I would hate to see those flakes on my face too. Enjoy your day hun! xo~ Lena

I've always consider the body shop as more of a "body" product shop. Never thought that they have a facial line as well. will try it in the near future though! thanks for the review! Check out my blog at
