Stay Weird

Some people think that fashion blogger is such a freedom sphere when we can wear whatever we want. I love seeing a wide variety of styles because it amazes me every time when I see people out there dare to be 'different' However, it is not that easy compared to where I am from. If I wear a black lipstick in Bangkok, Thailand, people will 'stare' and think that I am weird. Fashion in my country is great and more open-minded nowadays, however, there's still a conservative culture exists in the society. People always seem to follow Korean trend when girls need to be white, sweet and so girly. It is really rare to see people with pastel or crazy hair colour since people love judging among another. Some people fear of criticism, or even me who often feel discouraged when others start judging or commenting negatively of how I (supposed to) look. But you know what, just fuck it and stay weird.

It pisses me off when I hear people say "oh don't wear this" or "no people will think you look weird in this outfit" Others may concern about it because they might worry about you, but ask yourself if you really care of what they are saying? Do you afraid of being judged?

Old days are gone people, this is the new era, new modern society when we are able to express our creative freely. Let the imagination runs wild because we only live once. Actually, what's the point of being the person you don't want to be? I feared of how people would think about me, I really hated those criticism about who I was supposed to be. I was trapped inside that 'box' where I wasn't allow to be who I was. It was a pressure indeed.

If you wanna be who you are, don't be afraid of others' words. You are who you are and no one can change it.

  13. i suppose it's more so in thailand or wherever, but i also think that people all around the world will think some fashion trends are strange and judge you, whereas the blogosphere is often so much more accepting and encouraging:-) and i'm definitely all for wearing whatever one wants! stay weird, indeed! :-) xx

  14. Here in Brazil it is also so many people stop using any clothes he likes only for fear of what others will think about it. This has changed, many people have risked and depends on the place you will wear black lipstick, for example, is super normal and natural. So much depends on the environment you attend.

  20. Isn't this the truth. America may seem open minded in terms of fashion, but there are places where people will give you a heavy side eye for being different. It's taken me years to get to the point where I don't particularly care about others opinions on my clothes/appearance. My 10 year old niece dresses so crazy (she's going through a bright blue lipstick phase) and I hope for dear life she keeps that confidence/freedom.
