Photo and Video Quality by Samsung Galaxy S7, Does it Worth the Price?

*All of the photos in this post are original, and no any apps or filters edited* I have been asked lately if Samsung Galaxy S7 worth the price, or do I still prefer the big camera ? My answer is the phone can be a life saver (the quality is so damn good!), yet, I prefer to use my NIKON as the main equipment for my blog. Mobile phone and the real camera cannot be replaced, in my opinion. No matter how expensive the phone is, the camera still the right BFF for the greatest photo quality. However, I am really pleased with the outcome of my experiment last week, which I shot the lookbook, as well as, filmed the video for The Equinox Fashion YouTube channel

OVERALL PHOTO QUALITY (10/10)

If you use Samsung in general, you know that the saturation of the phone is more vibrant than any other brands. That is the reason why it helps enhancing the brightness and hue of the photo. For Samsung Galaxy S7, it is also equipped with the brightness mode, which we can adjust, as well as, some other modes such as panorama, selective focus, virtual shot, hyperlapse, slow motion, or even food! Compared to the old version of Galaxy S3 I used for three years (without any problems occurred), this is so much better! Somehow, I do not have to adjust the sharpness in VSCO app anymore since the quality is already good. As you can see that the sky is so bright and blue without editing. The shutter is quite fast, also we can set the timer.

Can it be used for the blog? Yes it can, but like I said, nothing can replace the quality of the big camera like Canon, or Nikon. If you are addicted to Instagram, and looking for a way to improve the visual aesthetic, then Galaxy S7 is worth to pay. I mean I really love the results I have had so far. The photos are so friggin' clear! However, you still have a lot of free applications available to download, which means it doesn't matter what kind of phone you use when the filters've got your back.

SELFIE (8/10)

I like the selfie mode, but I think it is kinda weird when there are Asian features added such as whitening skin, V-shape face, and blemish. Yet it is very helpful when taking the selfie in the dark. I don't really like the V-shape face mode btw... The distortion is just strange...

VIDEO QUALITY IS SO SOOOO GOOD! (9.5/10)

I have recently uploaded the Summer #OOTD on my YouTube channel, and I am very happy about the quality! When the camera is too heavy for daily routine, Samsung Galaxy S7 is a great assistant. From the beginning to the very end, I filmed every detail by this mini device. At first, I had thought the video might be compressed when uploading on YouTube channel, however, it didn't!

Overall, I am really happy with the images and video, and I think it is worth to invest :)

  6. I have an iPhone so I didn't realize that the photo quality of the galaxy 7 was so good. That's weird that the selfie angle is distorted though.

  15. I've heard good things about the galaxy and even though I believe in using a real camera and I nikon too by the way, I'm seriously considering dissing my iphone 6plus for the galaxy. Amazing shots. I love your selfies. I got a selfie stick in Santorini and had great fun with it, :))).
