Easy and Useful SEO Tips For Bloggers Part II

If you have followed The Equinox Fashion blog since last year, you will notice that I have also contributed some of the online marketing, and SEO (search engine optimization) posts in order to be a benefit for everyone. From Pinterest tips, how to improve the blog's content, to SEO tips for bloggers part I, here is another useful post which I think we all can apply to our own blog. I am not an expert, but the points I am making here are based on my experience, and knowledge I have constantly gathered and kept updating. Wanna know how to basically improve your SEO? Here are some of the simply techniques I have implemented. 

WHO IS YOUR AUDIENCE?

Before I am going any further, first of all it is very essential to ask who your audience is? Because you have to identify your target before making a move. However, if you are not serious about this, just step to the next point (which is the same old keyword point). I have used Google Analytics to see who my readers are so that I can develop the contents effectively. Besides, before you write, 'think' whether your content will be interesting or not. Does it help others in any ways, or does it answer their questions? Look at the demographic, it tells you the gender, age, and some basic information you need to know regarding the audiences. In fact, you can view the data when you sign in in blogger.com, but Google Analytics can provide the insight information, even there are some settings you can set the filters of who can/can't access the website.  

KEYWORD ALWAYS BE THE KEY (BUT NOT TOO MANY)

As mentioned before, keyword is one of the most important to generate the traffic to your website. However, too many keywords can be a spam. 'Keyword' usually tells the readers what the post is all about. I tend to place them at the intro, and only 2-5% in the body. Moreover, try not to use the same words over and over, because that doesn't look good. And Google can detect synonyms. 

GOOGLE WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTENT FROM THE 'INTRO' (QUALITY CONTENT IS THE KING)

I think intro is the crucial part, which tells the audiences what the post is about. That is why you should include 'keyword' and call to action phrase. It helps Google find out what you are saying. It can be personal story and experience. Or, something that can draw the attention from the readers such as 'how to' or 'self help'. Like what others said, content is the king, which I think it is true. I love reading blogs more than watching the news since I think it is the platform that links all of us together. It helps me discover people' styles and fashion trend that I cba reading the magazine. So, the quality content always be something that make the readers want to come back to the website. 

GOOGLE PANDA 2016 AND LINK BACK

Have you ever heard of Google Penguin? If not, you should be aware of it from now on. Remember when brands ask us to link back to their product's site? Be careful girlie. Obviously, we can link back to our own URL, or any sections in our blog, but it's quite risky to link from other websites now. You can still log in, but state specifically what the website is.
