How To Choose the Right Shoes

Some may notice that I rarely put the high-heel on, though it is the BFF for women. With
the 4 years of The Equinox Fashion, there are only a few posts, which I spiced up the street style outfits with the heels. Why? Because my feet were damaged by an inappropriate pair of shoes, that created not only blisters, but pain that I couldn't bare. What can I say? It is a blogger's life (lol) I spend almost half and hour to do the photo shoot for my blog. Sometimes, I have to walk quite a lot until I can find the right spot with less people. I guess some of you might feel the same when we cannot find the peace of mind, when we have to scout the location, while the shoes are being a bitch. I have both good and bad relationships with the online retailers, in terms of the shoe's quality. Based on my experience, here is how to select the right (fit) shoes for your happiness soul.

SHOULD I BUY FROM ONLINE STORE?

To be honest, most of the shoes I only worn a few times, or even once  were purchased from the online store. I am a shoe hoarder, and I don't feel ashamed. Some of you may think that I have so many cool pairs of shoes, and really love the collection I have. However, not all of them are my BFF(s). There are two or three pairs that I wore merely once, and was tempted to throw them away because of the worst blisters, as well as, materials. They are the shoes I got online because I lost myself to the trend on Instagram, when I didn't even realize that I would waste a lot of money. You might not have any problems with the online products, but I have. So, to answer the question, yes we can still buy from online, but you have to consider that your selection is not going to be the 'It-shoes' which you can wear 24/7. Remember that we can't try, we can't touch the fabric, and we don't know if what we opt for will suit the style in reality. Therefore, the only time I (kinda) want to buy some cute shoes online is when I know that they are just gonna be my props, not the ones I will constantly wear.

READ THE REVIEW, IT HELPS!

I always read the review online because I want to know how would others give the feedback of the products I am looking for. Be careful, some comments can even be paid to be positive. So, it's better to find the reviews from many resources

DON'T FORCE YOURSELF WHEN THE SIZE DOESN'T FIT

It has happened to me several times, when I try to squeeze my feet in the shoes, though I know it hurts. Sometimes, we just cannot resist to the design, or brand, but literally this is the worst thing that could have happened. The first time may be fine, but the latter is the worst. You know the shoes can really shape our feet, and play such a big impact on them. Especially, when the price is too cheap to be true, I go crazy! I had worn T.U.K creepers for 2 years, and I could tell that my big toes were injured (the head's really pointy, so it pressed the big toes) I reached the point that it hurt like a needle pierced through my toes, every time I touched them. It's bad, and I don't want it to happen ever again.

ANY BRANDS I'VE LIKED SO FAR?

I am not gonna lie, but I love my mom's kinda style of shoes lol. Although, they look old af, they are the best things I have had up until now. I have worn Pierre Cardin, and Clarks since the last time I wore those creepers. Their products might be a bit old-fashioned, but the quality is on point.  Here are my favourite Clarks' flat sandals I have an eye on for this Summer. You know, I love wearing black shoes, so these two cut-out beauties look like a promising choice for my style. Personally, I do love wearing sandals like these to the city center, not only they are comfy, but also stylish!

  3. Great advice! You have to read the reviews whenever you buy anything online. Things look great in the product pictures but you have to have a second opinion in order to be sure.

  5. I understand. Remember how Carrie Bradshaw said, "I love these shoes of mine, even though they pinch." I, on the other hand, do not love them once they start pinching.

  8. I like to buy shoes online only if I had worn a pair by that brand before, just so I know how they fit. You're pretty brave! X

  10. Before I started blogging, I would ONLY wear flats and would keep wearing the same flats until they wore out. So I still ask for comfort over style, and that's the most important thing! Comfort <3

  17. Dear Gail, I see, you are really an experienced shoe shopper :) And obviously we have the shoe hoarding in common! I buy nearly all my shoes online as I have a very small shoe size and shoe shops here in the Bavarian country are in general rare ... your look including the glasses is very cool!

  18. This is such a great post, Gail, I love all the advice you've given and you look absolutely gorgeous in your pics! I've been guilty of keeping shoes that didn't fit well because they were a pair of designers and my actual size was sold out, stupid, I know! Like you said, the best bet is to go in store, touch, feel and try on. When you're more familiar with the brand or designer, then it's more safe to purchase online, especially when they're expensive! Thanks so much for sharing, gorgeous, and I hope you're having the most amazing week so far!

  28. I know exactly what you mean, I remember I bought a pair of boots from a sample sale once and even though they were a size and a half too small I just couldn't bear to leave them behind and so spent the whole of winter squeezing my feet into this pair of boots that come summer I could barely wear anything but flip flops, definitely learnt my lesson! You are looking great here, love those sunglasses :) xx
