How to Deal with Emotional Breakdown

If you follow The Equinox Fashion Instagram, you will notice that I am on the social media hiatus mode due to the unstable state of mind I have been dealing with. Confusion has got me to doubt and dwell on my thoughts on and on. Therefore, I think it would be a great idea if I step myself back from everything I am doing at the moment. Doing what you love, when you are off guard only leads to the unsatisfying result...Besides, you can't even concentrate on anything when your mind is wandering around. Want to know how to deal with the emotional breakdown? Here are some tips, which have helped me get through.

1. STOP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING

This is seriously working for me right now. I have taken myself away from The Equinox Fashion blog, as well as, every social media platform I have managed. I can't continue on what I am doing when my heart is in a turmoil stage. I had tried to force myself to keep writing and posting the contents on the Instagram. Guess what? It went downhill...I felt as if there was something wrong with the theme. Also, I couldn't even come up with the fresh topics I needed to create for the clients. So, STOP forcing yourself to do whatever you have to when you are not ready. We are a human-being, not a machine that can work 24/7. Sometimes, we do need a break and just stay with ourselves.

2. STAY WITH FREIND(S) ALWAYS BE A GOOD IDEA TO STOP THINKING

I had always thought that staying with myself was the best solution to help me get through the tough time. I was totally wrong! It is good to take time to be with yourself, but only when you can stop yourself from overthinking over and over. When something bothered me so much for the past few weeks, I tended to think about the same thing again and again, and it drove me to nowhere. As a result, I decided to spend more time with my friend, because I needed to shut my brain up. And it worked. No more Thai fashion blogger duty. We went out for a drink, great food and shopping. It might not completely heal you, but it always better to have someone with you when your thoughts are fluctuating. You don't need to hang out with 10 people to feel better, just one person is more than enough.

 3. NO MORE SHIT FEELINGS

I am going to be honest with you...I felt pathetic when I kept thinking about how bad I was, or how shit it was to not be able to make something happen. I was scared and just felt hopeless in everything. I am a very hardworking person, so everything I do, I need to make it the best. Therefore, when something goes out of my plan, it can make me feel down for a while. However, this is not good. Not only I was disappointed in myself, my hustling energy was gone. And I hated it! Trust me, keep thinking about all the bad stuff gets you to nowhere. The only thing that possibly make you feel better and back to the same person is to step back and get back up when you are ready.

  3. Sending you love and happy thoughts babe!
Take a break, and just enjoy the moment and the people you have around you. Sometimes when I feel shitty about how my life is turning out, I just turn to the news and read about all the horrible-ness that's happening in the world - it just makes me realize how small my problems are in the grander scheme of things. Hope this little tip will help you out a bit!

  7. Definitely a good thing that you took some time out Gail. One negative thought like that leads to another, and it all just escalates. I am always turing to my blogger friends like Emily (She Does) and getting support, for when I feel like everything is not working. But it is also so helpful to just get away with other friends and have some space and time out. It's so nice actually to be around people who do not have Instagram and have no clue at all what you do.
I hope that you will be feeling more on track and less pressured in the new year with some time off.

  12. All these emotions your describing, I completely understand and can relate to as I too have been feeling like that lately and slowed down everything to do with my blog and social media platforms. I've been spending more time with family and friends as I tend to isolate myself and just keep working, but sometimes I work too hard, therefore I forget the important things in life. Taking a break every now and again is the perfect solution to get yourself back on track and feel like yourself again.

  13. You are true! That big year muff so lovely!!!
I also had a big problem recently, and a friend from art school listen to my long talking.
By the way, I noticed that the tree behind we took photos in Tokyo was the shape of the heart <3
