Pancake Cafe (s), Bangkok, Thailand

If you follow me on The Equinox Fashion Instagram, and YouTube channel, you will see that I have said "diet can always be postponed'' literally all the time (lol) How can I resist when I live in my hometown, Bangkok, Thailand, where the food heaven does exist! In fact, I have recently uploaded 'Food Diary//Bangkok' on my YouTube if you wanna have a sneak peek of what it's like to live here. However, if you are a pancake fan (like me), there are two places that you need to give it a shot while visiting Bangkok. There are a lot of delicious cafes around this big city, but these two places are my favourite so far. Besides, they are located in the city center which is really easy to commute (by BTS sky train).

Why Food Is Such A Great Content On Social Media

Why food or foodie post? Because it is one of the greatest contents I have found effective on The Equinox Fashion Blog. In fact, I am doing a food review too, so having the related content on my social media would be an ideal. When the food in Bangkok, Thailand is so variety, I find it difficult not to share what I have consumed while living here. It is not like bragging, but more to the 'art of eating' Personally, I love checking out those images on Instagram because they always make feel happy (for some reasons), while I am tempted to find something similar to eat. Besides, it's pretty challenging to create the photos to look great on the profile (obviously, if we are having a theme). It is just fun to make people think that the food photos on my Instagram are posh and expensive, though, some dishes are even from the street market. Like I said, visual can be very impressive, which depends on how we create it. Do you also love using the hashtag of #foodporn? Here is why I think such content is a big deal on the social media.

Dining Experience at Muteki (むてき)by Mugendai Bangkok

Sunday well spent with Banana& Nutella Cheese Roll, who wouldn't love the combinations of fruits and melted luscious Nutella!? Though, I am not a sweet tooth person, I couldn't resist the dessert menu served by Muteki by Mugendai Bangkok. Being (The Equinox Fashion) Manchester based blogger for a year was 100% work dedication. Yet, it was very difficult to have a pleasant dining experience like in Asia (NOW I'm back as Thai fashion blogger, so woo hooo!!!). Why? The food is not that variety, so obviously less choices to opt for. If you live in Asia such as Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, or Singapore, you will automatically know what I am talking about. If not, you are cordially invited to have a vacation here.

NudoSushiBox Press Dinner

I was invited to NudoSushiBox press dinner with Echo PR a few weeks ago. As it says 'sushi box', my dinner for the night was a full set of sushi boxes included the Japanese dessert, Matcha (抹茶) pudding. I have been invited to several press dinners and restaurant reviews, but I can say that dinner at NudoShushiBox was one of the nights that I knew exactly everything I was eating. Since I lived in Asia, and Bangkok, Thailand is my hometown, Thai and Japanese foods were the most familiar dishes I had all the time. In fact, I have always wanted to taste the Asian sensation in the UK, however, there are a lot of restaurants that made me say WTF with their so-called authentic foods. Living in Manchester, I have received a lot of curiosities from my friends if I could taste that Nippon taste on my tongue.

Burger & Lobster

I was waiting about half and hour just to get a seat at this restaurant, the renowned place where all my friends had suggested me to give it a shot.

Yes I am talking about 'Burger & Lobster' located at Soho, London where I went with my friends. I had heard so many people talking about how delicious the food was, especially I am a fan of lobster *grin* so I had been tempted to visit several times, however, it always packed.... If you arrive after 6 pm, I can guarantee you that you probably have to wait for hours. Even in my case, I arrived about 5:30 pm but still I had to wait 30 minutes until one of the tables was available.

Just to remind you that you need to have at least  £20 to order the lobster dishes which are classified into three different styles; 1) Grilled lobster and garlic butter 2) Burger 3) Lobster Roll with sides. All three of them are 20 quid so it depends on you favourable taste either you want the WHOLE LOBSTER or served with a bun/burger.

Personally, I think the grilled lobster looks the most worth for the price because you can get to eat the fresh lobster in a whole package (that means you have to crack it too) However, my favourite one is the Lobster Roll because eating mainly lobster is a bit too much for me. I REALLY impressed with the quality of the food because it was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. I was really satisfied with the price as well since everything's worth to pay, compared to the big portion served with delicious food.

At first, I thought it was a bit expensive because 20 pounds would save me for a week lol, but trust me I think it is worth to try :)

Chaophraya Manchester, Thai Fine Dining

Grilled Scallops served with mangoes and chili sauce

Sorry if this post's gonna make you drool, but I really can't help but to share my experience at Chaophraya, one of the top ten best restaurants located in the heart of Manchester, United Kingdom. If any of you have ever visited Thailand, you will notice the name of the restaurant immediately because Chaopraya is the name of the main river in Bangkok.

The Equinox Fashion has just recently launched the new section called 'Food Review' which recommends all the fine dining places to visit. In the previous post, I did the review at Thaikhun, Thai street style dishes, however, I also had a really great opportunity invited by Chaophraya to do another review at this high-end restaurant.

There are many interesting decorations inside this massive space which made me feel calm. Even though it was Friday when I went there, somehow I managed to get the sunken seats like traditional Japanese table style.

I had a chance to try a wide variety of food including appetizers, main course and dessert. For appetizers, I ordered Mixed Satay Fondue Set and Pork Skewers because I really love eating everything with Satay sauce. In Thailand, grilled pork with Satay sauce is one of our most well-known street foods that you can find almost everywhere, however, the appetizers here are the elevated fusion style designed by Chaophraya in order to provide the luxury experience.

For the main course, I think I ordered too much since everything on the menu sounds so yum. There are more dishes compared to Thaikhun though. Somehow, I chose to order 1) Coconut milk soup with chicken 2) Beef Mussaman curry 3) Cod with chili sweet sauce. WOW! I didn't know what to try first because the presentation of these three dishes were absolutely amazing. After trying everything on the table including coconut rice, my favourite dish was Coconut milk soup with chicken (it's always been my favourite one because my mom always cooked for me when I was young :)) If you are a fan of Thai food, you will be able to notice that one of our main ingredients are coconut milk, it literally boots up the richness of the food (That's why my mom prefer not to cook with coconut milk that often since it comes with high cholesterol too). However, the soup that I just ate was somehow very light and I loved it.

I felt really satisfied with the quality of the food, as well as, the staffs, however this review wouldn't be completed without dessert right? I am a FAN of deep-fried ice-cream and it is quite hard to find one in UK. Thank you Chaophraya so much for adding this into the menu of the restaurant because it's so so good! Some of you who have never tried this sweet may think that it sounds so weird, but trust me 'try it'! Chocolate and coconut ice-cream was served together with mangoes and sticky rice....guys I literally rolled back home.

If you are looking for a great dining restaurant with elegant design, I will totally recommend Chaopraya. It is totally worth the price.
