Should I become a Full Time Blogger?

There are a lot of well-known bloggers out there who make a million dollar a year, or even $$$ per one Instagram post. So, should I become one? We can, we all can become the professional blogger, but it is not easy. The fashion scene from the Instagram seems so wonderful and glamorous, but the reality is not a piece of cake like what we have seen online. It takes 1000% of dedication, consistency, followers, and potential. I am not gonna go through how to make money from being a fashion blogger in this post. Instead, based on my experience, there are a few necessary things to consider before quitting a job in order to become the full-time blogger.

Authentic Japanese Ramen in Soho, London

Let start the new year with a food review, shall we? This is not a commissioned work or anything related, but based on my LOVE towards the Japanese food. While, I was walking around the Soho, London (yes, the area where the previous London Fashion Week took place), Sasukeramen was spotted on when I hadn't had anything since in the morning. Being Asian in the UK is quite torturing in terms of food (once you go to Asia, you will know why), because I love eating Asian food; Thai, Japanese, Korean and India. So, it is hard to find that authentic taste that I am getting used to. Most of the Asian restaurants here are run by Chinese (and there is nothing wrong with that!) However, I prefer to find the dish cooked by the real local who can satisfied me with the genuine taste.(Manchesterで日本 レストランが少ししかありおません、Sasukeramen を見つかった時はうれしかったですね!)

What It's Like to Work With Global Brand like Adidas Neo?

Can you guess how excited I was when I opened an email sent from Adidas Neo regarding the App Lab Event in London? I was over the moon, like seriously. I tagged along other influencers from Europe (one from each country) to London, UK in order to take part in the event hosted by a global&lifestyle brand like Adidas in order to test the mobile app which will be launched in 2016. I still need to keep my mouth shut since I was told not to reveal anything about this exciting project yet. So, what it's like to work with a big brand like Adidas? Here is my major experience!

Adidas for London Fashion Week Spring/Summer16

From London Fashion Week 2013 to February 2015, I chose my signature black boots to go to the fashion shows with me. However, it was like a suicidal decision for my feet because when I came back home, they literally desperately needed a massage. I still have no idea how other people walk in heels all day, that's crazy but also a pure talented (#girlpower)

London Fashion Week Day 1: Fashion International

As soon as I arrived London, United Kingdom, I went straight to the hotel where the Fashion International was hosted in order to preview the new collections by a wide variety of designers from all over the globe. The fashion show was run smoothly, and the clothes looked absolutely amazing. In fact, this is the reason why I love attending London Fashion Week because it is a great opportunity to discover the new talented designers who have a really innovative design with a refreshing idea.

Burger & Lobster

I was waiting about half and hour just to get a seat at this restaurant, the renowned place where all my friends had suggested me to give it a shot.

Yes I am talking about 'Burger & Lobster' located at Soho, London where I went with my friends. I had heard so many people talking about how delicious the food was, especially I am a fan of lobster *grin* so I had been tempted to visit several times, however, it always packed.... If you arrive after 6 pm, I can guarantee you that you probably have to wait for hours. Even in my case, I arrived about 5:30 pm but still I had to wait 30 minutes until one of the tables was available.

Just to remind you that you need to have at least  £20 to order the lobster dishes which are classified into three different styles; 1) Grilled lobster and garlic butter 2) Burger 3) Lobster Roll with sides. All three of them are 20 quid so it depends on you favourable taste either you want the WHOLE LOBSTER or served with a bun/burger.

Personally, I think the grilled lobster looks the most worth for the price because you can get to eat the fresh lobster in a whole package (that means you have to crack it too) However, my favourite one is the Lobster Roll because eating mainly lobster is a bit too much for me. I REALLY impressed with the quality of the food because it was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. I was really satisfied with the price as well since everything's worth to pay, compared to the big portion served with delicious food.

At first, I thought it was a bit expensive because 20 pounds would save me for a week lol, but trust me I think it is worth to try :)

Bloggers Fashion Week

On March 27, 2015, The Equinox Fashion had such a great opportunity to participate in "Bloggers Fashion Week" hosted by Bloggers Love. Even though, it was the first time I took part as a blogger, I really had an amazing time networking with several brands out there. I was supposed to go on 26 as well, but I couldn't make it due to the errand I had to do in Manchester. However, it was worth to drive down to London for this event, as well as, the meeting with Warehouse which I had to meet the PR team in the next day.

In my opinion, I think the event like Bloggers Fashion Week's a very good idea since it's not just about bloggers, drinks and freebies but also the connection that we all could cultivate the relationship with the brands. Personally, networking is very crucial in the fashion industry because the more people you know, the more connection you have. Exclusively, if we are bloggers, we need to talk to people and introduce ourselves in order to be known for the name of ourselves, also our blogs. As it can be seen nowadays that both bloggers and brands are seeking for the opportunity to work together as I mentioned in previous post that somehow bloggers can be the new PR in this digital communication system. Some people may ask "why do they have to present themselves in person and why not just emailing to the companies?" My one and only answer as fashion blogger and the co-founder of the brand (yes I am running my earring brand called Hidden Treasure) is it makes us as a brand to get to know you better. The brands are able to see your personality which can be measured if you are suitable for them.

At Bloggers Fashion Week, I met several brands and had a chance to talk to them in person such as COMB, Umberto Giannini, LipGlam, Tara Osborne Jewellery, Magnitone and MDMflow. Surprisingly, I just published the post reviewing the green lipstick sent from MDMflow 2 days before meeting the brand at the event. I was like WOW!

Here are some of the photos I took at the event.

LFW15 : Mimi Tran

Mimi Tran, another great show I attended during London Fashion Week15 two weeks ago. If any of you guys are a fan of feminine style, this AW15 will be something you might want to have an eye on.

Mimi Tran is a talented designer who actually have BA in electrical engineer and MBA in International Business Management. When I read her biography on the website, I was like 'wow!' From engineer to fashion industry. I really admire these people who switch from such specialize background to the clothing industry because it is totally different. Actually, I know quite a lot of people who change their careers from academic such as scientist or law to become fashion designer. One of my colleagues studied Law for her Bachelor's degree, however, she has been running her own clothing line nowadays. How amazing is that!?

I kinda get the vibe of the collection, also the targeted market of the brand because every outfit worn by the models were expressed in a very feminine style. "The Mimi Tran brand empower today's woman by producing apparel in contemporary styles designed to enhance her beauty and celebrate her femininity..." says Mimi Tran.

From casual blue coat to the beautiful exquisite hand-made dresses , I literally love the texture of the collection. Look at those embroideries on the dresses! They are really delicate, aren't they? Even though my style is more into street fashion, the showcase of Mimi Tran still fascinated me in terms of its gimmick in each piece, as well as, the show.

One of my most favourite which seems to be the highlight of the show was the wedding gown.

London Fashion Week Outfit/ Blogging Experience

3 years experiencing in this fashion industry, I can say that attending London Fashion Week's one of the greatest moment of my entire life. This was not the very 1st time of The Equinox Fashion to be here, however, I was still absolutely stoked about it.

If you live in UK/USA you are a lucky star since these two countries are my favourite destinations for fashion. Compared to where I'm from, United Kingdom is totally a right place for bloggers because the fashion industry here is massive. The truth about fashion industry in Bangkok, Thailand is that people still don't know much about the word "Blogger" Some people even asked me that what a blogger was? Therefore, the decision to be here's 100% worth for me.

I have been through loads of obstacles in this industry including HR process of one of the biggest fashion companies in Thailand which wasn't that pleasant. I still remember the very first day I started blogging. I was sitting on the floor, staring at my laptop's screen and thinking about what to write. It was a little bit struggling for a while since I had had no experience about it! But I still continually created blog's posts such as trends, inspirations, music, interview people and etc.

However, the most crucial part of me was the day when I decided to blog about my "ootd" Before, I had been forcing myself not to think about outfit post because I didn't want anybody to judge me. As you know that there are both good and bad people, as well as, lovable comments and disgusting comments that make you say "what!?" That's the reason why I was so scared to post about my look. However, if you only stay in your comfort zone, you're not gonna go anywhere right?

Not only the outfit of the day posts, but I also started contacting brands to review the stores. Some of them said yes while some rejected. Of course, that's normal in this industry. Who would give a *** to you when you're only a small blogger? Some brands don't even want to waste the time with no name bloggers. Yet, I still tried and tried and tried and tried til the day I made a decision to send my resume to apply for London Fashion Week's volunteer position. And after that, my life's totally changed.

I have received more connections from wide variety of people, also collaborations from brands. And I still feel blessed about my decision because I wouldn't be this far if I decided to stay in Bangkok on that day. Nowadays, I am attending several fashion events, working with lots of brands and blogging whenever I can. I just love what I am doing, and I really appreciate every opportunity that comes into my life.

I feel blessed, f**** blessed
