Merry Christmas x Dresskode

Merry Christmas!

How's everyone doing in this festive season? I am doing pretty good here in Manchester, United Kingdom even though I am not be able to see my family this year. Festive pretentious I must say because deep down I miss my mom, dad, brothers and 16 year-old dog with all my heart.

Christmas is one of my favourite holidays of the year because it can be seen that everyone seems to be happy to be gathered by family members. However, I also give a big respect to those who work in retails since they have to work very hard in order to accomplish sales, as well as, handle with customers especially in such insane Boxing day. Personally, I would love to experience the nature of human-being in the Boxing day, but whenever I see the massive crowd fighting for half price products, I give up. Instead of having a great time shopping and pampering myself, it looks like a mini war to me lol Therefore, I would rather stay at home and blog according to the scheduled posts coming up.

Another thing I love about Christmas day is the 'road' To be honest, people prefer spending time with the family indoor to going out and get wrecked. So, I took an advantage of 25th by going outside and shoot some photos with my Primark 'Santa Paw' jumper, high-waist jeans sent from DressKode by etailPR and Jeffrey Campbell wedges. It felt literally good to be honest when you could just take photos in wherever you like without feeling weird towards the eyes of others.

I got this jumper from the kid's section of Primark Lol Believe it or not I spent about half and hour choosing between this jumper and the onesie which supposed to make me feel warm. However, I have decided to get this jumper instead since I can see myself wearing it more often that the pj. Besides, it is really warm! The other pair that I can't live without in this holiday is the denim item by DressKode. I got this pair of jeans by etailPR, the online community where bloggers and brands can work together. It is my 2nd time receiving the products from this PR team and I really love the fact that they have wide variety of campaigns of brands to select. The first one I got was a dress by Poppy Lux, and I still wear it occasionally because I love the fabric that seems to last-long, also versatile in many situations.

I guess that's all about my Christmas part of 2014, and all I want from Santa is a 'flight ticket' to go home PLEASE Lol. Hope you guys have a great time and stay safe :)

My Street Style x NUN Bangkok

March is all going to be about collaborations and fashion events since it's already Summer in Bangkok, Thailand! Ha, this is why I love being in Asia due to its lovely weather, great food and generosity of people. However, I'll get my feet back to UK around August/ Septemberish, so I'd better live my life to the utmost here.

A few weeks ago, I received this must-have top from NUN Bangkok, Thai designer with a passion in street wear clothing line. Personally, I've known the designer of the brand for a while, so we had decided to launch a project together by creating this collaboration in order to push forward "Street" fashion to be more distinguished in online media. It's a great teamwork not just because we are attracted to each other but also me and the designer have something very in common. Therefore, it's super easy to work with her :)

In this outfit, I paired NUN Bangkok top with Missguided skirt and the jacket purchased from H&M.

1. Tell me a bit background of Nün Bangkok, and the designer itself?

Nün Bangkok was founded by myself, Nün Visitsak and my boyfriend Tom Shigeru Stannard. We met whilst I was studying in London where street fashion strives and everywhere you look, there is a clear sense of style and individuality. After we wrapped up our degrees, Tom moved with me to Bangkok, Thailand where we now reside but our love for street fashion and its charms never left us.
Thailand's fashion scene is extremely different from the London fashion scene in a sense where feminine clothes dominate the streets, malls and workplace. As I have never really been a girly-girl, I sometimes feel a tad out of place in such a feminine world and shopping in Thailand for me is not easy as frilly dresses are not my first choice!
After soul-searching for a couple of years and working in the film industry as a television commercial director, I decided that my true-calling is fashion and that I could never be truly happy if I don't take that risk and jump right into it. I spoke with Tom about doing our own fashion line and he was ecstatic. We agreed that street fashion would be our take on this fashion line, bringing the London street fashion vibes to our designs, incorporated with a splash of femininity. From there on, it was decided. I quit directing right away and we got the ball rolling for Nün Bangkok!

2. What is the style of Nün Bangkok?
In the simplest terms, Nün Bangkok is minimalistic street fashion. But to look closer into the style of Nün Bangkok you'll see fun touches of femininity juxtaposed with tom-boy elements. Also, at Nün Bangkok, we are not afraid to show some skin! This is not about being revealing, but it's about being proud of who you are no matter what size you are! It's about being comfortable in your own skin, showing off your confidence and really owning your own style!

3.  Who're the targeted customers of Nün Bangkok?
Our target audience are people all around the world who loves to shop online to find interesting different design pieces from different parts of the world! They could either be fashionistas in their full-bloom, looking to add to their wardrobe with our statement pieces or they could be newbie fashionistas who are looking to explore and expand their own style with our more muted yet fun pieces!

4. What's your inspiration for this collection?
Initially, we wanted to create an edgy, 'tough-girl-chic' collection that focuses on light fabrics that is comfortable to wear. So we decided to tackle one of my favourite pieces in fashion, the leather motorbike jacket. Because I live in Thailand, the weather here has never allowed for me to be able to wear leather jackets, so we decided to create a 'non-leather, leather jacket'. This piece of ours looks like a motorbike jacket, but extremely airy and light. The body is made of linen, lined with silk, and the sleeves are made of see-through Italian silk mesh, making this piece very breathable! But in colder countries, this piece is perfect as a layering piece!

From that, we decided to make our very first collection in the theme of 'biker chic'. We spent weeks researching and trying to find a different take on the 'biker' theme. Then we found an image of the motorbike engines and thought that it looked very interesting and intricate. We decided we wanted to base the entire collection on the design of the motorbike engine. Our centerpieces of this collection is our 'Engine Dress' and our 'Engine Top'. The slanted lines on these two pieces are inspired by the motorbike engines, and other than making them very unique pieces, the slanted lines also compliments one's figure by elongating one's body and slimming down one's waistline. From there, we decided to make these slanted panels the main theme of this collection, now seen in our 'Lane Splitter Leggings', 'Lane Splitter Bomber' and the 'Burn Out Dress'.

5. How do you plan for the future growth of the brand?
Right now most of our customers are from the United States and the United Kingdom and in the future, we hope to attract more attention from the Asian market and hopefully open a store front at some point!

White is The New Black

Even though black is my favourite outfit colour, I always want to try something new such as "Neon" or ''White" in this time. I have never worn all pure white outfit before but it's never been too late to try right? :) As I mentioned earlier in the previous post that I had loads of collaborations coming up, and here is the latest look from the latest sponsor by Persunmall

Persunmall has become one of the fore-front online shopping websites for girls in these days not only there are wide variety of products provided but they also offer up-to-date trend from all over the world. it may sound overrated but trust me their selections are far beyond the runway since they keep collecting the styles from influential fashionistas and bloggers no matter from Lookbook.nu and other potential blog sites. I mean if you love street style fashion, then it might be worth to spend your time clicking through the website. The looks on fashion runway are gorgeous, however, I might not be able to afford or spend $1,000 for just one dress. Therefore, "Memorize&Adapt" to be your style is better. Obviously, I prefer to update trend and look from real people because "it is real"

Trying something new is fun, as well as, I have chosen "Sweet Candy Color 2 Piece Suit" to be the newest item in my wardrobes. The (all) white colour makes my look a bit softer than any other street outfits I wear yet the cotton fabric makes me feel so comfy too. Thus, I wouldn't hesitate to wear the suit to the casual event or night out party either day or night time. Moreover, I boost up the look with my favourite silver Jeffrey Campbell wedges and Zara zebra clutch.

The Equinox Fashion Ft. Summer Violets

Fashion has to be practical in real life, so that it wouldn't be just a commercial.

When it comes to fashion, some people might live with it, while some appreciate it as a kind of "art" For me, I take everything as an art such as fashion, food, painting and even life. How we create our lives is some sorts of a story. We create it, live with it and enjoy it. My 24 years story has been pretty good so far, up and down like a roller coaster but all the lessons learned make people become a "fighter" in reality.

The more I take a risk, the more I discover that this world has prepared me with many things to explore. I have been searching my "self" for a year which kind of fashions do I really fond of, fashion designer, pr or writer. From year to year, I've found myself embraced with street fashion clothes and gotta admit that I live with it. Or else The Equinox Fashion wouldn't be here if I didn't take a step to become a blogger founder for my own blog. I do watch runway, but in the end my wardrobes are fulled of items which inspired by music and moods. Not even closed to Autumn or Winter season after all lol First, some high-end brands are just overrated. Second, I need to wear my "style" not a commercial look.

And my journey so far?

I am in United Kingdom, but I had a little meeting with such a lovely blogger from Leeds last week. Even though, we spent a time together merely a while, I really enjoyed chitchatting with her because I love to meet new people and make new friends. Who know maybe we can collaborate in the future. Thus, feel free to contact me via my blog, Facebook page or whatsoever, I would love to get to know you more :)

(*The Equinox Fashion

Coach, Bart and Jeffrey Campbell Shoes

One of another extraordinary days with a combination of varied brands and street market items.

At first I was wearing only Bart Simpsons top (My favorite printed character ever!) and skinny pants. However, for more cheerful and lively look, I matched the outfit with Coach's umbrella and silver Jeffrey Campbell shoes :)
