Spring #ootd

I have to admit that Spring makes me feel a bit happier after miserable winter in this country. However, it still quite cold in Manchester, United Kingdom....Of course, this is North not the central part. So, the weather can be a bit tricky sometimes. If you have followed me on Instagram, you may notice that I have been wearing colourful clothes recently. I used to wear only black and black and black all the time, but I have learnt that wearing such vibrant pieces or adding some fun prints make me and my social platform look more cheerful in terms of the visual.

Don't Expect Others to Change

There always be the moment when we wish we could change the behaviour of others to satisfy what we are expecting them to be. Why he keeps procrastinating? Why she always late? However, I found it kinda annoying to wait for the change which to be honest it might not even gonna happen. Sometimes, it makes me feel frustrated why such annoying behaviour can't be altered and why it is so hard for some people just to think logically of what to do or what not. Eventually, it only drives us crazy or even insane for some of us who have high hope in changing others' behaviour. Well, keep thinking positive is good, but personally I would rather change my attitude and don't expect others to change for me because it can be hard and chances are it may or may not going to happen

Busiest Days of the Month

First of all, I would love to thank you all of you who have participated in my previous post about "Fashion Blogger is the New PR?" I am very appreciated and feel so grateful to have such amazing and friendly bloggers with me.

After a week of relaxing and planning on work, now I am back to 100% working mode since I am surrounded by three assignments from university. Now, I truly believe when people say " I don't understand how those people can blog and study at the same time" Because I feel like killing myself at this rate lol Well, there always be the solution of how to manage everything even for those busiest days of the month.

Even though, this is just a quick message, I still want to show up and update what's going on with my life since I don't want to disappear, especially I would love to take responsibility as full time fashion blogger.

What you guys up to? Any special plans for Spring? Anyone's travelling to Bangkok, Thailand next month? Because I'm the one who's going ;)

Politeness Matters

There are many types of people in this fashion industry including the best and the bitches. I am not saying that I am the top, but I can say 100% that I am one of those polite people exists in this industry. I don't know some say I am hard to be reached because I don't really have such warm-welcomed face, plus I am not that talkative, however, thanks to my i don't give a s*** attitude because it makes me calm and have peaceful state of mind all the time.

I am quite shy in person, so I don't really have confident to go and talk to people. Therefore, I don't really try to approach them in the fashion events that much unless they come to talk to me. It is not a good thing actually because we need to make a connection with people out there, and that's how networking is really important in fashion society. It can lead to new bond between you and other bloggers, pr, designers etc. Personally, I think politeness is really crucial when approaching to people because it can tell many things about your background.

I have seen many fake politeness several times. For example, one of my blogger friends complained how much she disliked that one, but when she was at the fashion event, she was the very first person who tried to go and talk to the person she hated because of networking. I was like ''what the..." I think it's quite funny to see the real human nature here lol It just wow like I couldn't believe how could she fake to do that, and the reason why she did was to get email contact and information of how to get involve with more fashion industry and blah blah blah. Well, apparently I rarely talk to her anyway so there's no point of talking about the one who I used to call 'friend' This is one of the examples about politeness which related to what I mention that "being polite doesn't mean you have to fake since people can tell if you are truly sincere or not

Another issue I really concern is about 'emailing' Obviously, we have to use email to contact people all the time. We are bloggers, we receive email from pr and we mostly communicate via that online channel. Hence, please use appropriate words because it really matters. There are a few people, also optimization agency which I don't ever want to work with again due to the lack of standard in email. I have mentioned before that I am one of those picky women, so I don't really wanna read or even reply back to those who type such as "Thanks! Can we make an offer $10 per post ok? Aren't you supposed to do this/that for us or what?" I'm like omfg I'm not your friends and to use the word "ok" in business email is not ok.

I don't know I just feel like to use proper wording makes you look better since the first impression matters.

How to Save Money Wisely

Have you ever felt that shopping with the limited budget is quite annoying? I am one of those people who concern about the budget every time when I go shopping either by myself or with friends. However, I have been able to save a big amount of money in order to spend freely, while pay for my Master Degree's tuition fee by the technique of "discovering people more often

Being a girl is hard when it comes to savings since we all love shopping I assume. We want to buy the latest products online, we want to purchase that new cosmetic goods and we want to buy something to make us feel good. When I first started saving some bits of money from working, I looked at my own reflection and asked "Am I gonna make it at all?...." I had tried several methods in order to keep some of my money away from the shopping center until I went to some countries where the living standard is quite struggling. They don't even have any opportunities to eat good food, or have pure&clean water to use. It has made me realized that how lucky I was. After I came back from travelling, I have started to take time walking on the street and looking at how others live their lives. Every time when I want to buy high-end brand or any expensive goods, I always remind myself with this question

"$$$ for just one bag, when some people can really use $$$ for like a month...what I am even doing at this shop?..." Then my desire for such items vanish automatically.

It is ok to pamper yourself from hardworking days because we are working hard to earn a living, but sometimes It's wise to save your money today so that it will become the big investment for you in the future. Here are some tips that actually effective for me.

1. 40% goes to my saving

Normally, when I get paid, I always keep 40% of the money to my saving account so that I will be able to track and increase the amount in each month. I have 2 different saving accounts; 1)Saving 2)Spending. For the first type of account, I don't even have an intention to do an ATM card or whatsoever since I just want the money to grow like a blooming flower. However, I do have money to spend from the second type of my account which I allow myself to have a debit card in order to spend on whatever I want.

2. When you see something that so on trend, think twice

It is normal when you REALLY wanna buy something when it is so viral online. However, just think that there are gonna be at least 10 girls who wear the same pieces like you and at least one of them would style like you. So, do you still want to be one of those girls with the same clothes? Whenever, this idea pops in my heard, I'm like "meh" Lol

I am not convincing that these strategies would work for everybody out there, but at least it works for me :)

Merry Christmas x Dresskode

Merry Christmas!

How's everyone doing in this festive season? I am doing pretty good here in Manchester, United Kingdom even though I am not be able to see my family this year. Festive pretentious I must say because deep down I miss my mom, dad, brothers and 16 year-old dog with all my heart.

Christmas is one of my favourite holidays of the year because it can be seen that everyone seems to be happy to be gathered by family members. However, I also give a big respect to those who work in retails since they have to work very hard in order to accomplish sales, as well as, handle with customers especially in such insane Boxing day. Personally, I would love to experience the nature of human-being in the Boxing day, but whenever I see the massive crowd fighting for half price products, I give up. Instead of having a great time shopping and pampering myself, it looks like a mini war to me lol Therefore, I would rather stay at home and blog according to the scheduled posts coming up.

Another thing I love about Christmas day is the 'road' To be honest, people prefer spending time with the family indoor to going out and get wrecked. So, I took an advantage of 25th by going outside and shoot some photos with my Primark 'Santa Paw' jumper, high-waist jeans sent from DressKode by etailPR and Jeffrey Campbell wedges. It felt literally good to be honest when you could just take photos in wherever you like without feeling weird towards the eyes of others.

I got this jumper from the kid's section of Primark Lol Believe it or not I spent about half and hour choosing between this jumper and the onesie which supposed to make me feel warm. However, I have decided to get this jumper instead since I can see myself wearing it more often that the pj. Besides, it is really warm! The other pair that I can't live without in this holiday is the denim item by DressKode. I got this pair of jeans by etailPR, the online community where bloggers and brands can work together. It is my 2nd time receiving the products from this PR team and I really love the fact that they have wide variety of campaigns of brands to select. The first one I got was a dress by Poppy Lux, and I still wear it occasionally because I love the fabric that seems to last-long, also versatile in many situations.

I guess that's all about my Christmas part of 2014, and all I want from Santa is a 'flight ticket' to go home PLEASE Lol. Hope you guys have a great time and stay safe :)

Winter Outfit

Not gonna lie, but I think I do look like a lion day by day. I was thinking about chopping my hair off but then again I just felt like 'I am too in love with the long hair to let it go' I guess it is one of the dilemmas in everyone's life. Besides, I will be tortured even more since it is getting colder and colder in Manchester, United Kingdom.

I am not a fan of layering but I assume that I have to because it really helps in keeping me warm. This faux fur jacket I purchased from Primark keeps me warm in level 6 (out of 10) only, so the best advice I could absolutely apply is to wear a few pieces inside. Even though, it looks thick, the inside is really thin included the tiny bit of lining. Of course, it looks beautiful but at the end of the day I wouldn't be able to survive from the harsh weather of this country. Sometimes, I also wonder if the sun do exist in this country. Therefore, I am pairing the jacket with the sweater top I designed for 'Rock On Ruby' and heat-tech top underneath.

The bottom part, I am wearing the pants from Wearall. These are one of my favourite pants so far because they are really comfy. I used to wear skinny jeans a lot, but I don't know why I don't really wear them anymore. They are not as comfortable as the loose one I guess.

So, here is my 'Winter Outfit' which may not look as glamourous as others, however, it's my everyday style.

Music Is My Inspiration

I still remember the day I listened to Back Street Boys and RHCP when I was about 9 years old. 90s childhood of mine was well-spent by fusing the culture of films and music. Therefore, no wonder why I grow up with the music in my head.

Likewise, I don't have any trends or style icons when it comes to "fashion" since all I have gotten is from "music" Truthfully, I play the music since the moment I wake up, take a shower, cook, get on the bus etc. My heart is beating with the tunes I listen, and I love it like that. I don't care about being stylish or trendy because what I really want is to let my outfit speaks by itself. What I mean by speak? It means to illustrate who I am, what kind of characteristic I have, as well as, the mood of that day.

Music brightens up my life, and it helps me get through with so many circumstances no matter when I'm happy or discouraged. It does really help me tbh. However, I don't listen to pop music that much since it is too mainstream for me. I don't mind if my friends want to play such tunes in the car or even at the party because we just want to have some fun, isn't it? But the playlists in my phone are something which called "electronica, rock, alternative" kinds of music. These music motivate me all the time. Call me crazy, but I have come this far in this blogger industry because of what I have been listening.

To Manchester x Rock On Ruby

From Bangkok to Florida, Chicago, London, Kathmandu, California and etc These cities have unquestionably taught me how to appreciate life and living things because my life itself is not merely about street fashion but music and travelling as well. In other words, these factors make me feel alive.

Some of you may perceive that I am moving to Manchester, United Kingdom in September and will be a blogger based, also study international fashion marketing management for my Master Degree for a year. It is definitely not the 1st time moving, but it is my very first stage of "moving alone" And the fact that I am still not getting used to British accent&culture that much. I lived in United States before but I had friends to support me, or in fact my life didn't even have such assertive purposes in those days. So, life was pretty smooth and fun during the verge of becoming a pre-adulthood. However, why Manchester not London this time?

Actually, I love city life, I love being inspired, I love living in massive cities like New York or Chicago, but the characters within Manchester can fulfill my needs in street fashionMoreover, my goal is to do something with fashion in town, so I absolutely need to discover and do things as many as I possibly can. Even though, its size is not that big compared to where I have been before, it still a good option to give it a shot. Some people even said to me "Oh! why you have to go there? What are you gonna do with fashion in such city like that? People are so rude, the city is dirty blah blah blah" But if you are a city girl, you will understand the way of life in a big city. And I love it like that. Well, if you live in Chicago before, that means you have passed the test of risking your life in such a dangerous city (Still wanna go back though lol) Especially, going solo will be an extremely risky yet interesting experience.

Am I nervous? Yes, of course! But i don't really give a S*** about it that much. I know my feelings, and I let them stay there without having any influences on my track. Plus, America has taught me so well of how to be strong and handle unexpected situations. This story sounds like a movie but it really an actual "based on my true story"

"I had never expected to sit on the pavement of the street just to wait for a random transportation to go back home but it happened in Orlando, Florida 6 years ago. I got on a bus to go to another town which I had to do something with my paper work, unfortunately I was informed that I came to the wrong place. OMFG! It took me an hour on the bus just to get here and breath for 5 minutes! So, I had to catch another ride to go back home. However, it wasn't that easy since there weren't any buses...lol I had a phone but i didn't know who to call because I had just arrived Orlando a day before. I tried to go from stores to stores in order to ask for help but few people speaking English because they were Spanish. At the end of the day, I sat on the street and waited for luck to come. I was really scared though because I didn't even know if I would be able to make it home. Think about the movie scene of Hangover or anything that the characters have to hitchhike strangers' cars. Oh yea, I was so lucky to experience such a movie scene like that! Finally, the bus came in hour later which means I could finally catch it to downtown....:)"

What I am trying to say is going abroad can be fun and pain in the same time. However, it can be a great moment of your life. Eventually, you will have a story to tell your kids in the future of what you've been through.

See you in a bit Manchester <3

The Equinox Fashion x Treasure Jewellery, London

Necklace- sent from Treasure Jewellery, London
Skirt-Missguided

This is another "zoom" post due to the previous article about attending Coach Spring2014 collection. Yes I wore the outfit to the fashion event a few weeks ago, however, it wasn't just about the glamourous hour only but also the day which I got snapped from street style photographer who works for well-known Thai magazine called "Cheeze"

People might expect bloggers or any other guests to wear such oh so fabulous outfit for the fashion events, but I don't even give a *** about it since my style is the other "high-street version" I can't just pretend to be the other me when deep down inside streetstyle is running in my veins. Therefore everything's about matching from piece to piece to be the right look for the day, especially with my fav skirt from Missguided. Anyway, thanks to Natalia from "Treasure Jewellery" a premiere online jewellery and accessories shop who sent this gorgeous necklace to me even though I'm back to Bangkok, Thailand. The shop provides wide variety of trendy yet funky accessories, and I really love many selections offered in the website. Natalia picked a new set of jewellery to me including necklace, earringg and etc. I felt a bit speechless when I opened the package because all of the pieces look very sparkling and magnificent. I think it is one of the shops in London that sells such a splendid accessories yet affordable because it was so hard for me to find the right piece in a reasonable price. you can visit the website of Treasure Jewellery here http://www.treasurejewellery.co.uk/

At first, i had an idea about wearing this necklace with a dress and some pastel heels, but i thought "Oh it would be too normal, and it's just gonna look like some ordinary outfit for night out occasions" So I changed my mind suddenly lol I wanted to step out from my comfort zone by toying my street style clothes with the necklace in order to create something new and prove that it could be matched together.

Fashion is no limited, isn't it?

The photos were taken by Nawaphon P (Cheeze&Looker photographer)

As well as, my fav blogger from INTIZ JOURNAL, and here is her style. All colourful and paper cut signature fashion blog :)
