How to Be a Strong Woman

📍 Hiroshima, Japan

What does 'strong woman' mean to you? For me, it means 'a woman who never give up and always be a fighter even when there's no light at the end of a tunnel' Months and months, I've taken a look at the role of the 'woman' seriously, and I think "damn we are so strong!" I'm not a feminist, but this is how I truly feel about my gender. At the age of 28, I've learnt so much about myself. Discovering who I really am, and never back down to anything. Especially, the failure always makes me stronger.

Behind The Scene with Rock on Ruby

There were several times I did a photo shoot for Rock on Ruby, a Manchester based brand which I have been cultivating the relationship with the founder, known as my blogger partner since I was in Bangkok, Thailand a year ago. We have had many good collaborations together, no matter it has been just only me wearing the slogan tee, or being a photographer for other bloggers. However, this was another photography session I did for the brand. Some of you may not know that I am a freelance photographer, but you can also check out my 'On street work' featuring in The Equinox Fashion too!

Winter Outfit

Not gonna lie, but I think I do look like a lion day by day. I was thinking about chopping my hair off but then again I just felt like 'I am too in love with the long hair to let it go' I guess it is one of the dilemmas in everyone's life. Besides, I will be tortured even more since it is getting colder and colder in Manchester, United Kingdom.

I am not a fan of layering but I assume that I have to because it really helps in keeping me warm. This faux fur jacket I purchased from Primark keeps me warm in level 6 (out of 10) only, so the best advice I could absolutely apply is to wear a few pieces inside. Even though, it looks thick, the inside is really thin included the tiny bit of lining. Of course, it looks beautiful but at the end of the day I wouldn't be able to survive from the harsh weather of this country. Sometimes, I also wonder if the sun do exist in this country. Therefore, I am pairing the jacket with the sweater top I designed for 'Rock On Ruby' and heat-tech top underneath.

The bottom part, I am wearing the pants from Wearall. These are one of my favourite pants so far because they are really comfy. I used to wear skinny jeans a lot, but I don't know why I don't really wear them anymore. They are not as comfortable as the loose one I guess.

So, here is my 'Winter Outfit' which may not look as glamourous as others, however, it's my everyday style.

Event: Rock On Ruby Xmas Party

'Rock On Ruby Xmas Party' was hosted by Rock On Ruby, one of the most familiar brands which always be featured on The Equinox Fashion. I spent time with the brand quite often during the past couple of months, however, I had a great opportunity to officially attend the very first ROR blogger event on November 29, 2014.

The relationship between The Equinox Fashion and Rock On Ruby has been growing not just the work connection but friendship also. I have started to know this 'slogan tee' brand since I was in Bangkok,Thailand. I still remember when I was wearing the customized tee in July while I was hanging around in my hometown, as well as, preparing to move to Manchester. Therefore, I have been in contact with the brand since the very first step of them on the Instagram. From 500 followers in July to thousands followers in nowadays, I am quite proud of how the brand and its team have achieved. I know the owner of the brand personally, so I am pretty sure that all of them have been working very hard to be in this point. Even though, I don't really express anything in social media, I do proud of them!

To be honest, I was very excited to attend this event because I had been to various events but now I was about to attend my friend's one! Actually, I was the first person who was informed about the event by my event partner 'Holly' (the owner) So, I was very happy for her.

The event was held at Cane&Grain located in Northern Quater, Manchester. It was the Christmas theme actually, however, I love the fact that the place was painted in Hawaii vibe. Feeling fresh and wanna go surfing immediately! Nahhh surfing might sound too exaggerate lol Only it made me feel happy for some reasons :) There were a few activities that we bloggers could participate; 1) Styling the clothes, taking photos and sharing on Instagram in order to win the challenge. 2) Designing the Rock On Ruby slogan tops 3) Drinking delicious drinks and eating yummy cupcakes. I did everything but obviously after having a few drinks lol.

It was a fun day, and I still in love with this brand <3

Everyday Is My "Blog" Day x Rock On Ruby

"Everyday is my 'Blog' day" is a slogan jumper I designed for Rock On Ruby since I think this is the right quote of my life at the moment.

It has been three months since I touched down at Manchester, United Kingdom and I really enjoy every single minute I spend the time here. Even though Master Degree is kind of insane, I still happy with my daily activities including blogging and working on projects assigned from university. No matter how tired I am, blogging for The Equinox Fashion is a MUST.

To be honest, blogging in this country is really a great opportunity to be exposed and showcase what style you've got, as well as who you are. People here have wide variety of styles which never make me feel bored (I guess..) but sometimes you gotta see some of those people who are trying too hard to forget to be themselves. I am very positive person you might have ever met, and that's why I feel pretty chillaxing while working on my blog.

Some people say that blogging here is really competitive and so on, however, I always stay true to myself and don't really give a f*** to any circumstances. Frankly, I think media and numbers of followers on Instagram or any other social platforms are the big influences on making people want to drive their numbers in order to compete against one another. Some even use a shortcut by buying followers, or some even play a big trick by using the followers of others. I can say this because one of my (used to) fellow blogger has played this shitty game behind my back. I am not really angry, instead I feel like "It's better to walk separate way" I was always being too soft to people to realize that they want to take benefits from me.

Anyway, it is really a waste of my time to just think about it ( I literally think it is really disgusting just to think of that person face tbh). In this industry, you can do whatever you want, you can make a decision whatever you feel like as long as you think it is the best thing for you. I don't judge people but I learn from the surroundings. My advice is "don't let the bad vibes or technologies consume you" The more you feel like competing, the more you are starting to ruin yourself.

You are the winner, and you will always be.

Halloween Photo Shoot with Rock On Ruby

Some of you may still remember the collaboration of The Equinox Fashion x Rock on Ruby since July. The brand sent its uber cool slogan tee to me all the way from United Kingdom to Bangkok, Thailand in order to become another versatile piece for my holiday. Our relationship has been growing since then, like I said before that I love keeping in contact with the brands which I have worked with, not just for friendship but connection also. It is good to get to know other people, as well as, appreciate those who willing to work with you, isn't it? And last month, The Equinox Fashion had a great opportunity to work with ROR again on the photo shoot with "Creep It Real" Halloween collection.

Since I arrived in Manchester, Rock on Ruby has become my great partner for events! We always go to events together because we are team. Even though, I am not a part of the brand's team members, I can say that our friendship is just amazing. Not many brands would come down and hang out with you but ROR does.

In this photo shoot set, I was wearing pink leggings with the top and accessories provided by the brand. It was really smooth when we worked together. I don't know it seems like we know each other for long time, so it was really quick and easy for us to do a collaboration together.

Getaway Style x Rock On Ruby

Tee sent from Rock On Ruby

My vacation month's now officially over since it's June and I am back on track with The Equinox Fashion, a blogging sphere which truly meant the world to me.

During May, I spent most of my days planning about blog's strategies, as well as, personal branding. I have so many ideas going on in my head right now, however, I would rather take it step by step before I'm gonna be suffocated by my own thoughts. I can absolutely say that I work constantly every single day, and that one of the factors that I was sent to the hospital due to panic attack a week ago. I hadn't realized that deep down I was really pressuring myself, or unconsciously stressing 24/7 until the day I couldn't catch my breath for probably 5 to 10 minutes. Of course, I was terrified since it had never happened to me before. Therefore, my best advice is to loosen up yet stabilize my productive brain. I wonder how!? lol

Anyway, yesterday I received a super cool tee sent from British brand called "Rock On Ruby" which surprisingly sent to me all the way to Bangkok, Thailand. I was extremely happy because there's my blog name "@thequinoxfashion" screened on top! Who wouldn't love it!? So, I didn't even hesitate to wear this in the next day at all because you have no idea how much this tee mean to me. I mixed and matched this Rock On Ruby's tee with my DIY short jeans and 2D bag purchased from Siam Square. I wanted the look to be the comfiest since it is still Summer in Bangkok, and the weather is incredibly boiling days by days.

Sending big hug to Rock On Ruby team, also the comments in the previous post! I read all of them, and I do appreciate your thoughts so much. I wouldn't be here without you guys, so again "Thank you very much!"
